Propex is a multi-faceted company that decided to consolidate their headquarters to a downtownChattanoogalocation. The intent for their office space at Warehouse Row is to have designated areas for the various departments while still maintaining an open office feel. Formal and informal conference rooms, lounge seating, and break areas are littered throughout the space, providing easy collaboration between the different departments. Employee offices are a mix of open area workstations and closed offices. All closed offices have an open feel by utilizing glass wall partitions. The glass walls filter natural daylight further into the space, while still providing acoustical privacy. The open area workstations are custom designed using ergonomic proportions to accommodate for all storage and working needs. The workstations have five foot high partition walls with transoms inset between work stations to create adequate privacy with light filtration throughout the space. Paint colors alternate between a muted blue and green between workstations to create rhythm and evoke a calming work environment. Conference rooms are defined by names of different company locations around the world and are designated by rustic orange walls with grey office chairs. Glass jug light fixtures and a scrap metal reception wall complement the exposed ceilings, pipes, and brick walls seen throughout the space, showcasing the raw structure of Warehouse Row and defining their location in the heart of Chattanooga.
