TCAT Chattanooga
We were tasked to design a landscape and turf management facility on the TCAT Chattanooga campus that included a passive greenhouse and adjoining head house and classroom space. The site components mixed with the greenhouse solar requirements presented unique parameters that ultimately shaped the design into a unique composition. The placement of the greenhouse responded directly to optimal solar orientation, the head house/classroom space respected the existing pedestrian edge that connects east and west sides of the campus, and the equipment storage pad became a sculpture piece that freely expressed the edges and boundaries at play.
