Charles Barlow

DESIGNER

Charles-Bio-Page-Vertical

When Charles earned his 5-year Bachelors of Architecture degree from Mississippi State in a little less than 4 years, with a stint in Rome to study architecture theory, he realized creating tangible spaces was about more than what is immediately in front of you. For instance, when Charles designed a cluster of writing cabins in the woods of Cantor, Mississippi for the Gray Center, he created more than a few cottages, but rather an environment that compels a writer to pen the next great American novel. For Charles, it’s important that both the seen and the unseen are always considered. He appreciates that architecture allows him to stage memorable, moving moments for his clients through the intentional use of space, place and time.

In his spare time, Charles loves reading, mountain biking, painting, billiards, round table discussions and Sunday chess.
