Chattanooga’s Coker Tire serves classic and vintage automobile enthusiasts. Renovating their headquarters more than doubled their office and showroom spaces, while creating functional order in areas for management, staff, and clients. Clerestory windows and borrowed light from perimeter offices bring in natural light. A five-story monumental stair, fabricated from recycled heart pine floor framing, creates a central focal point. The addition of a 100-foot porch provides a memorable entry sequence, and functions as a stage when Coker Tire hosts automobile events. The business continued to operate at full capacity throughout the renovation, which was completed seamlessly in alignment with the Coker brand.
