Downtown Chattanooga’s 18-story Dogwood Manor provides low-income housing for the elderly, with 136 one-bedroom apartments, support spaces, and shared public rooms. We renovated the building to increase energy efficiency, improve MEP infrastructure, modernize elevators, upgrade security systems, and address water and air leaks. Aesthetically, we redesigned the apartments and public spaces, and refinished the entire building exterior. Mechanical and structural improvements significantly extended the life of the building, while thoughtful design decisions created high-quality housing for the community.
