New Construction
Chattanooga, Tennessee
Architects: Heidi Hefferlin and Craig Kronenberg

A yoga instructor wished to open her own studio in an industrial area of Chattanooga. With a very small budget, we were challenged to create a space that met sound and technical requirements for a yoga studio but without bearing the higher cost of concrete and masonry construction.
We used a simple wood frame construction with Hardie board for the 2,856 SF studio to save money. Despite also having to reduce the amount of glass because of cost, the interior is a bright and modern space that was designed as a blank slate for the owner to add her own Zen accents. The building includes two studios, a children’s play area, and a private studio. With its new facility, Yoga Landing has become a popular destination for Yogi’s across the city.
