For the last 14 years, Michael has put his architecture degree from The University of Tennessee Knoxville to work in a variety of ways. Not only has he spent years designing commercial spaces and custom residences in and around Chattanooga, he has also spent time teaching STEM and design classes at various inner-city schools in the area. Michael is a maker. In addition to teaching, working in his woodshop, developing his garden and raising his kids are ways he has found to make and create outside of architecture. Inspired by interaction and motivated by context, he believes that his conversations with clients and his understanding of environments inform the direction of his designs.
